Baseline study for the Stockton WWTP

AECOM, one of the largest Engineering companies in the world requested a series of analytical tests which are seldom performed at a competitive price.  Additionally, they required that the samples be picked-up and analyzed in a very short time frame and TAT, during a continuous 10 calendar day period. We proposed several solutions to meet these requirements at an acceptable price:

• Courier service
• Pre-labeling of the containers to facilitate sample collection
• Method development to prevent subcontracting

We developed and tested several wet chemistry methods such as flocculated COD, Volatile Fatty Acids, and Filtered Carbonaceous BOD, for this project.  We communicated with the client on a daily basis to ensure all their needs and concerns were met which resulted in a very successful project with no resampling, and with good data validation!
