BSK provided special inspection and materials testing for the Radiation Oncology Expansion. The facility is a 46,000 square foot, three-story building along the north side of an existing 63,000-square foot Cancer Center. BSK’s services included: earthwork observations and testing, inspection of the reinforcing steel, concrete placement, structural steel welding (shop and field), masonry placement, and field erection bolt tension testing, along with fireproofing observations.
BSK has enjoyed a long relationship with California State University, Bakersfield on a variety of projects. BSK has provided geotechnical investigations, soils testing and construction observations on numerous large and small projects. The New Art Center, Science Buildings 1 & 2, North East Student Housing Phase I, and Satellite Central Plant are a few of the more recent projects for which BSK has provided engineering services.
